The side façades found on this temple suggest that Igreja Matriz de São Julião was built in the Middle Ages, between the 13th and 14th centuries. However, according to a document from 1103, it's assumed that a religious building already existed here.
Only the late Romanesque remains are preserved, and it's not possible to observe traces of the time when it was supposedly built.
