Quinta da Bica has been in the family since the 17th century and since then wine has been produced on this 100-hectare farm.
There has always been a connection to the region and wine, contributing, having been, João de Sande de Sacadura Botte Corte Real, a strong stimulus for the creation of the Demarcated Region of Dão in 1908.
Currently, and after the inheritance by John Sacadura Botte, the Estateis owned by “Quinta da Boca – Sociedade Agrícola Lda”.
The Quinta da Bica wines are now run by a female generation, Ana Filipa (the Mother) and the daughters, Joana, Marta, Matilde and Madalena.
A generation that has an entire wine history in its blood, not only by the Sacadura Botte family inheritancfe, but also by Ana Filipa Osório Mayer de Carvalho Sacadura Botte’s family inheritance.
